Cowboy mounted shooting, the fastest growing equine sport in the nation,

is a level based, family oriented, equestrian sport combining Wild West Show, Target Shooting, Contesting and Old West Reenactment; Where the Mounted contestants dressed in period clothing of the late 1800's through the silver screen era, compete in a fast action timed event using two single action .45 caliber revolvers, loaded with black powder blanks, engages 10 targets while negotiating a specified course drawn randomly from over 50 different patterns.

INDIANA MOUNTED REGULATORS

Indiana Mounted Regulators, a new Cowboy Mounted Shooting Club, located in Northern Indiana was officially formed on 12/28/05, with the selection of a name, election of officers, board of directors, and scheduling events. The club purpose is to provide a social setting while promoting mounted shooting in Indiana and across the nation under the guide lines and rules set by the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association. This will be done by conducting demos, clinics and holding CMSA sanction matches. Safety of the spectators and contestants will be given top priority with the emphasis put on safe gun handling and good horsemanship. We are a non- profit organization that is funded through membership dues, sponsorship, donation, and fund raisers.
